Over 40 years of Multi-Industry (Consumer Products, Logistics, Private Equity, Medical, Social Services, Start-up, and Technology) executive experience growing companies both on a National and International scale.
Has held strategic planning positions as well as tactical positions in Marketing, Brand Management, and Executive Leadership with companies like Procter & Gamble, U.S. Freightways Logistics, and Marquez Brothers International. Launched a new company that brought innovative labor related support solutions to retailers in the Grocery Industry. Held strategic and tactical leadership positions supporting logistics solutions for retailers in the Grocery, Pharmaceuticals, and General Retail Industries.
Has a successful background in New Venture funding as well as Private Equity, M&A, and Strategic Consulting through Frontera Equity Growth Advisors as CEO. Has launched two start-ups in the last 7 years and taken them to profitability. Has managed $1 Billion in annual sales revenue and even all the way down to start-ups.
Graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Marketing before launching his professional business career. Now retired, U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft was one of his favorite professors from his college years – also a reference on his first resume.
Has worked through government agencies to solve problems and deliver results. Was able to secure a grant for a start-up company from President George W. Bush, then Governor of the State of Texas. On a much larger scale participated in President George Bush's first Presidential Campaign as a registered fundraiser.
Was a leader as Elder and Chairman of the Board in establishing a new Christian Church in Tennessee from start-up through a major building program, Has worked through many non-profit faith based organizations such as Texas Baptists, Volunteers of American, Texas Hispanic Baptists, NHCLC (National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference), and many smaller regional organizations to give strategic guidance and fund raising support.
Randy has a history of pioneering ventures and recruiting / developing people from his P&G days all the way through to today, helping new ventures launch into industry verticals of the largest categories. Throughout his career he has marketed in virtually every CPG category in a multi-Industry environment. Randy’s last executive leadership role was in the hottest growth space in the U. S. CPG Industry, Authentic Mexican products.

Cliff Wells | Managing Partner
During a career spanning over 35 years, Cliff Wells has established a reputation for driving sales, profits and share improvement for major corporations, privately-held companies and entrepreneurial ventures at all stages of development.
As Managing Partner of Frontera Equity Advisors LLC, his business acumen, marketing savvy, and presentation skills have proven to be an asset. Cliff is adept at supporting fund-raising efforts by creating or enhancing business models and articulating value propositions to clients, shareholders and potential investors. A progressive, results-driven leader, he uses innovative approaches to solve problems, uncover hidden opportunities and build allegiance with customers and partners.
Cliff’s Consumer Packaged Goods background includes food and beverage products in virtually every category including frozen, dry grocery, snacks, confections, produce and specialty. His deep experience in trade marketing across all trade classes and vast knowledge of all aspects of sales management and manners of distribution are particularly valuable to early stage companies and turnaround opportunities.
Prior to serving as CEO of Monterey Bay Chocolates, Cliff was Sr. Vice President at Drinks-that-Work, an entrepreneurial venture founded by a former product developer at fresh juice innovator, Odwalla, Inc. And it was during Cliff’s tenure at Odwalla when, as Vice President of Trade Marketing and Sales, his efforts greatly contributed to the company’s successful IPO.
Cliff has also enjoyed success outside the CPG area. As Vice President of Merchant Partnerships at Cobaltcard, an online payment solution innovator, his ability to coordinate site content and functionality while securing merchant partner agreements led to a successful exit for the VC-backed company. And as head of Corporate Accounts at ADVO, Inc., acquired later by Valassis, Cliff directed a national account team in the development of advertising programs via targeted, direct-mail campaigns.
His diverse background, overall business knowledge and ability to create effective distribution and promotional strategies was also successfully demonstrated while working with Foster Farms Dairy (now Crystal Creamery) and Advanced Refreshments LLC, a producer of private label water and kids’ drinks (ultimately acquired by Niagara Water).
Prior to his being recruited for Regional Sales and Marketing positions by RJR Nabisco, where he received numerous awards for sales achievement, Cliff began his career with Nestle Foods shortly after graduating from San Jose State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising.
